How to Get Found on Google (AI Site Builder)

Last updated October 16, 2026 · Owners and office staff

Sites made with the AI Site Builder are built to be found. The technical parts of search (fast pages, a sitemap for Google, one headline per page, your business details in the format Google reads) are handled for you. What only you can supply is good, accurate content: your real services, where you work and how to reach you. Your SEO Expert helps with the rest.

Before you start

  • Open your site in the editor (Tools > Website > Edit website).
  • Have your real services, the towns you work in and your phone number to hand.

Steps

Give Google the facts

  1. Make sure your services, service area, phone and email are on your site. They come from the guided setup. To add or change one, ask in the chat, for example “Our phone number is (555) 201-3344” or “We also work in Round Rock and Georgetown”.
  2. Add a Service areas page with Add a page if you work in several towns. Your towns come from Towns you serve in Business details.
  3. Keep your phone number and business name the same everywhere: on your site, your Google Business Profile and your vans. Your Proofreader and SEO Expert flag contact details that don’t match.

Let your SEO Expert check the site

  1. Choose More tools > Tips from your AI team and open the SEO Expert card.
  2. Work through the suggestions, such as a page title that is too long for Google, a missing page description, or a photo with no description.
  3. Choose Fix it for me or Ask AI to fix, then Keep it or Undo on the change.
  4. For a full pass, choose Ask the SEO Expert to review. The button shows the credit cost.

You can also ask in the request box, for example “Help me show up on Google for patios in Concord”. Your SEO Expert reviews the site with that goal in mind and shows you its changes first.

Set a page’s Google headline and description

  1. In the editor, pick the page in the Page picker above the preview.
  2. Choose More tools > Google headline and description (on a phone: Tools > More tools). You can also reach it from Rename, move, hide or delete this page.
  3. Type a Google headline (up to 70 characters), the blue headline in Google results. Leave it empty to use the page name.
  4. Type a Google description (up to 160 characters), one or two sentences under the headline.
  5. Choose Save. It saves straight away and costs nothing. It reaches your live site when you publish.

Describe your photos

When you add a photo to a part of a page, fill in its Photo description. A plain description such as “Paver patio with a fire pit in a backyard” helps Google and people who use screen readers.

What happens next

Search engines find new sites on their own, but it can take a few weeks. Connecting your own domain and linking to your site from your Google Business Profile helps. See Publish Your Site and Connect a Domain.

Tips

  • One page per main service helps people searching for that service. In Add a page, use A page for each service, or Describe your own with real details about how you do the work.
  • Avoid pages for every town. Pages that only swap the town name can hurt your ranking. One good Service areas page is better.
  • Only claim what is true. The AI never adds awards, licenses or years in business you didn’t give it, and your Proofreader flags any that can’t be backed up.

Troubleshooting

  • My site doesn’t show on Google yet: new sites take time to appear. Make sure the site is published and the SEO Expert has no important suggestions left.
  • The AI won’t change my phone number: business details change only to values you type yourself. Type the exact number in your request.
