Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what data LandscapingSoftware.com collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've written it in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and a person will answer.
1. Information you give us when you sign up
When you create an account, we collect the basics needed to run it: your name, email address, company name, and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also keep records of your plan and billing history.
2. Your business data and your customers' data
The product exists so you can run your business in it: customers, job sites, schedules, estimates, invoices, and related records. That data belongs to you. We act as a processor of it: we store and process it solely to provide the service to you, and we don't use your customer list for our own marketing or share it with anyone else's.
You are responsible for the customer data you put into the product, including having an appropriate basis to store and use it.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you connect a Stripe account, money moves through your Stripe account, not ours. Card numbers are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the data it processes.
4. Google Analytics and Search Console (optional)
If you build your website with us, you can choose to connect a Google account so your site's Insights page shows your own traffic and search numbers. This is optional. Nothing is read from Google unless you click Connect and approve access on Google's own screen.
When you connect, we ask Google for read-only access to:
- Google Analytics (read-only): the list of Analytics properties you can see, so you can pick your site's property, and that property's visitor, session, page view, traffic source and event counts.
- Google Search Console (read-only): the list of Search Console sites you can see, so you can pick yours, and that site's search clicks, impressions, top search terms and top pages.
- Your Google account email address, so we can show you which Google account is connected.
How we use it. We use this data only to show you your own reports on your site's Insights page inside LandscapingSoftware. We never change anything in your Google account. We don't use it for advertising, we don't sell it, we don't share it with anyone else, and we don't use it to train AI models.
What we store. We keep the connected account's email address, the property and site you selected, and the access token Google gives us, which we store encrypted. The report numbers themselves are fetched from Google when you open the Insights page and held in memory for up to 15 minutes; we don't save them in our database. Our staff don't view this data except when you ask us for help with it.
Turning it off. Click Disconnect on the Insights page and we stop reading your Google data. You can also remove our access at any time from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have the stored connection details deleted, email [email protected].
LandscapingSoftware's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Cookies and sessions
The application uses cookies to keep you (and, in the customer portal, your customers) signed in and to secure sessions. These are functional cookies required for the product to work. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
6. Email
We send transactional email that the service needs to function: things like account messages, invoices, and notifications you or your operators trigger. We may also send you product updates about your subscription. Marketing-style email includes a way to opt out.
7. What we don't do
We do not sell your data, and we do not sell your customers' data. We don't share it with third parties except the service providers needed to run the product (such as hosting and Stripe for payments), and then only for that purpose.
8. Data retention and export
We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, you can request an export of your records or ask us to delete them: email [email protected].
9. Your requests
To access, correct, export, or delete data we hold about you, or to ask anything about this policy, contact [email protected]. We'll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll announce it by email or in-app before the change takes effect.
