How to Change Your Design and Photos (AI Site Builder)

Your site’s look comes from a library of styles made for landscaping businesses. Each style is a complete design: header, menu, the parts of each page, colors, fonts and footer. Every style is shown with your own words and photos, and changing it keeps them. Design changes are free.

Before you start

Open your site in the editor (Tools > Website > Edit website).
Change the look and Photos are two of the five big actions on the left.

The seven styles

Most styles make one page for each of your services, under Services. Parts that need something only you can give (your rating, your team, an offer, before and after photos) appear once you add it.

Steps

Switch to another style

Choose Change the look, then Style.
Each card shows the style with your words and photos. Your current one says Your style now.
Choose a card. The preview shows your whole site in that style.
Choose Apply look to keep it, or Cancel to leave your site as it was.

Change only the colors or the fonts

In Change the look, pick a set under Colors, or Custom for your own color. See Change Your Colors.
Pick a pair under Fonts.
Choose Apply look.

Top and bottom of every page

In Change the look, open More options.
Pick the top of every page (header), the menu, the bottom of every page (footer), the button shape and the Phone bar (call and quote buttons at the bottom of phones).
Choose Apply look.

One page’s layout

Open the page you want to change with the Page picker above the preview.
Choose More tools > This page > Page styles. Only styles that suit that page are shown.
Pick one. The preview shows it with Undo and Keep it.

Your photos

Choose Photos to add photos, use stock photos and set what stays in view when a photo is cropped. See Photos and the Stock Library.

What happens next

Design changes are part of your draft. On a live site they go online when you publish.

Tips

Try a style before fine-tuning. A whole style changes more, and more consistently, than many small tweaks.
Check on a phone. Use the phone button above the preview after a design change.

Troubleshooting

“Choose Undo or Keep it on the change first”: decide on the waiting change, then pick a style.
A style card shows a sketch instead of your site: the preview could not be loaded just then. The style still works; pick it to see it on the main preview.
A photo would not upload: photos must be JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF and no larger than 10 MB.
