How to reset your portal password

Last updated May 29, 2026 · Customers

You sign in to your service provider’s customer portal with your email and a password. This page walks through every flavor of “I can’t get in” — and how to get back in fast.

Sign in normally

  1. Open the portal link your service provider gave you. It looks something like landscapingsoftware.com/portal/their-company-name.
  2. Type your email and password.
  3. Click Sign in.

If it works, you’re done. Your browser stays signed in for 90 days, so you usually only need to do this once every few months on the same device.

If you forgot your password

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
  2. Type your email and click Send reset link.
  3. Check your inbox (and spam folder) within a minute or two for an email from your service provider’s portal.
  4. Click the Reset your password button in the email. The link is good for 15 minutes — open it on whatever device you’re comfortable typing a new password on.
  5. Type your new password twice, then click Save. We’ll sign you in automatically.

That’s it. Your old password no longer works.

If you’re locked out (5 failed attempts)

After 5 wrong passwords in a row, the portal locks your account for 15 minutes. That’s an automatic safety brake to slow down anyone trying to guess your password — it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your account.

You have three options:

  • Wait 15 minutes, then try again with the right password.
  • Use Forgot password? to set a new one. The reset link still works while you’re locked out — once you set a new password, the lockout clears.
  • Ask your service provider to send you a fresh temporary password. They can do it in two clicks from your customer record.

Change your password from your profile

Once you’re signed in, you can change your password whenever you like:

  1. Open My Account (or your name in the top right).
  2. Click Change password.
  3. Type your current password, then your new one twice.
  4. Click Save.

Your other devices (laptop, phone, work computer) will be signed out as a security measure — the device you’re using to change the password stays signed in. Sign in again on the others using your new password.

If you never received a temporary password from your service provider

The first time you ever sign in, your service provider sends you a temporary password by email. Check:

  1. Your spam folder first — first-time emails are most likely to be filtered.
  2. The email address you expect them to have. If you’ve used multiple emails with them, the message goes to the one on your customer record.
  3. Ask your service provider to re-send it. They have a Send Temporary Password button on your customer record. Each click generates a fresh password and emails it — the older ones stop working as soon as the new one is sent.

Help

If none of the above works, contact your service provider directly. Their support email and phone are at the bottom of every portal page (and in the footer of every email the portal sends you).
