Daily Brief Emails (Marketing)

Last updated July 6, 2026 · Admins and office staff

A daily brief is a summary email sent to you at a time you pick — open your inbox with your coffee and know exactly how the day looks. There are two kinds: a Morning Brief (today’s schedule and follow-ups) and a Yesterday Recap (what actually happened). Briefs are per-user, so each person on your team sets up their own.

Before you start

  • Your email sending must be set up for briefs to arrive.
  • Briefs are personal — you’re subscribing yourself. Each teammate does the same for their own inbox.
  • Daily brief settings live under Settings → Daily Briefs.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and click Daily Briefs in the settings menu.

  2. Under Add a brief, choose a Brief type:

    • Morning Brief — today’s schedule & follow-ups
    • Yesterday Recap — how yesterday went
  3. Pick a Send time (half-hour slots) and a Timezone (defaults to your company timezone; the brief arrives at that local time).

  4. Choose the Sections to include for your chosen type:

    Morning Brief:

    • Today’s schedule — visit count, per-crew breakdown, scheduled job value
    • Follow-ups due — unanswered estimates, overdue invoices, cold leads
    • Worth a look — yesterday’s incomplete or skipped visits

    Yesterday Recap:

    • Visits — completed vs scheduled
    • Money — invoiced and payments received
    • Leads — new leads that came in
    • Estimates — created and approved
  5. Optionally tick Skip the email entirely on days with nothing to report so you don’t get an empty brief.

  6. Click Subscribe.

What happens next

Your new brief appears under Your briefs, marked Active, showing its send time, timezone, included sections, and last-sent time. Each day at your chosen time the summary email is built from live data and sent to you. You can set up more than one — e.g. a Morning Brief at 6:30 and a Yesterday Recap at 6:00 PM.

To manage an existing brief:

  • Pause / Resume — temporarily stop or restart it without losing your settings.
  • Remove — delete it (you can add it back any time).

Tips & best practices

  • Set the send time before you’d normally start so the brief is waiting when you sit down.
  • Turn on “Skip on empty days” if you work a seasonal schedule — no point in a blank email in the off-season.
  • Run both briefs for a full picture: a morning plan and an evening recap.
  • Double-check the timezone if you travel or operate across zones — the send time is in whatever timezone you pick here.

Troubleshooting

  • Brief never arrives. Confirm your email sending is set up, the brief shows Active, and (if enabled) it wasn’t a “nothing to report” day with “skip on empty” turned on.
  • Wrong time. The send time follows the Timezone you selected — adjust it on the brief and re-save.
  • Too many / too few details. Edit which Sections are ticked, or add a second brief of the other type.
